Mick Miller was born in Dingle, an area of Liverpool on 25 Feb 1950. A very keen goalkeeper as a youngster, ambitions of making it as a player himself he started with Port Vale (where the great Stanley Matthews signed him) and even went on to receive a trial with England at Youth level, only to lose out to a certain Peter Shilton in 1966.
After not making it as a player he was then to decide to look at a career elsewhere and went abroad including working in Israel in The Kibbutz, and after recommendation form one of his cousins he decided to work as a host at Pontins.
